Why We Require Your Real Name During Registration:

Our main intention in creating the registration-only areas of our site (forums, chats, etc.) is to provide opportunities for people of like mind and heart to connect.

In order to create an online community space that is secure and aligned with our intentions, we require that those who participate make themselves known to us.

Once you have registered, you do not have to reveal your real name to other using the site unless you choose to do so -- in most chats or forums you can use your "username", which can be anything you want. (We do require that you use your real name in some online classes.) Your real name will be known to the administrators of this site only, unless you choose to show it in chats, forums, or comments, or to share it with other participants.

Requiring a real name from each user helps us to maintain both our site's security, and the online environment we want to create.

We do not open the dialogues in our forums, chats or comments to those who wish to engage in spamming activities, or whose reason for being here is to be intentionally detractive -- we wish to foster an online community where participants are accountable for their actions and words. This is just one of the steps that we take to support that intention.

If you register without providing your real name, we will contact you and ask you to revise your account (you may do so at "My Account") -- if you do not do so, your account will be deleted.
